The Center for American Progress explores a Wisconsin law from 2011 that allowed concealed carry with a permit from the state — and minimal eligibility and training requirements. The CAP report is based on its analysis of violent crime data in Wisconsin since the CCW law was enacted 10 years ago. According to the report, “Three categories of violent gun-related crime have increased since its implementation: gun homicides, aggravated assaults that involve a gun, and gun-related homicides and assaults against law enforcement officers.”
