Senators Introduce Assault Weapons Ban

Senators Introduce Assault Weapons Ban

On January 9th, Senators introduced the Assault Weapons Ban of 2019. This is an updated bill that bans the sale, transfer, manufacture and importation of military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines. These are the military-style weapons that were used in multiple shootings in 2018, including the shooting in Parkland Florida. The bill was introduced by Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-Cali), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.).
