October 2: 2017: Las Vegas

Like you, we awoke this morning to the terrible news of the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history — an event nothing less than an act of domestic terrorism.

At least 58 people have died from their injuries. Over 500 more people were injured and thousands will carry emotional scars for life.

We mourn the dead and our hearts break for the survivors, their loved ones, and the entire Las Vegas community as they start the long road to recovery.

Gun violence is not a problem without a solution. It’s past time for our elected officials to do something meaningful to protect Americans from an epidemic that kills over 90 people and injures 200 each day.

Today and every day we honor with action to end gun violence. It’s so easy to get discourged at times like these, but if we remain committed to advocating for common sense gun laws and building a culture of peace we will prevail.

Thank you for standing with us,

Jennifer Thorne
