U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary passed three bills on 9-10-19. The bills can now move to the House for a vote.

H.R. 1186, the Keep Americans Safe Act, would ban high-capacity ammunition magazines that can accommodate more than ten rounds of ammunition.

H.R. 2708, the Disarm Hate Act, would prohibit people convicted of misdemeanor-level hate crimes from buying and possessing guns.

H.R. 1236, the Extreme Risk Protection Order Act of 2019, would provide a civil court process to remove guns from individuals in crisis who pose a risk of harm to themselves or others.

These two bills have already passed the full House -H.R.8. and HR 1112

H.R. 8, which would require universal background checks

H.R. 1112, which would address the “Charleston loophole” that allows guns to be sold without a completed background check.
