In
2000, nearly three times as many children
under 10 died from gunfire as the number
of law enforcement officers killed in
the line of duty.

Young boys who discover a gun are likely to play with it. View the results of this 2001 study.

Every year over 30,000 Americans are killed from firearms, and over 65,000 more are injured (CDC figures for 2003, the most recent year available).
Every year thousands of families, friends, schools, and communities are devastated by gun violence.
Gun violence is a public health epidemic that touches the lives of ALL Americans. However, there is hope and it begins with you! Become an activist on the issue - learn about gun violence and gun safety - and educate others! Take the Student Pledge Against Gun Violence
The Student Pledge Against Gun Violence is a national program that honors the role that young people, through their own decisions, can play in reducing gun violence. Each October, the Day of National Concern, takes place during National Safe Schools Week.
Please contact us to arrange a student, parent or faculty
