Announcing Picture Peace 2016!

We are so excited to announce the launch of our Picture Peace youth program for 2016.

Picture Peace is a statewide Ohio youth art contest where kids explore the topic of gun violence prevention through artistic expression. Recognizing kid's artwork increases awareness of the public health issue of gun violence - while fostering a culture of peace!

By involving teachers and utilizing the classroom environment, the program provides a safe forum for education and discussion. Student participants use their chosen medium to voice ideas about gun violence in our culture and create their own vision for peace.

Winnings submissions will be published in a 2017 calendar and put on display in public shows. Additionally, the winning students in each category (Grades K-4, Grades 5-8, and Grades 9-12) will receive a prize and their teacher will receive a gift card for their classroom.

This year we are thrilled to be able to offer the program to any educator or youth program leader in Ohio and have made the resource materials and contest packet available at

Please share this information with educators or youth program leaders in your life and help Ohio's kids Picture Peace!
